Its president, Javier Rup\u00e9rez, has been in the Congress of Deputies on Monday to speak about this issue, where he denounced that there is an exclusion \u2018that has to do with age, that has to do with physical condition and that has to do with geographic location\u2019, he recalled in La Linterna.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Credit cards, Bizum, instant online payment, transfers or digital euro:<strong> fewer and fewer people use cash to make payments,<\/strong> and yet, according to data from the Bank of Spain,<strong> 6 out of 10 continue to use it.<\/strong> All this despite the closure of ATMs and bank branches.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the<strong> Denaria platform<\/strong> defends cash as a means of avoiding financial exclusion. Its president, <strong>Javier Rup\u00e9rez<\/strong>, has been this Monday in the Congress of Deputies to talk about this issue, where he has denounced that there is an exclusion \u2018that has to do with age, that has to do with physical condition and that has to do with geographical location\u2019, he recalls in La Linterna.<\/p>\n<p>The president of the platform stresses that there are millions of people who need cash. \u2018<strong>They are left out, literally out of the market,<\/strong> but also at the same time literally out of society\u2019, he points out.<\/p>\n<h5 data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"heading\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">60% of Spain uses cash<\/h5>\n<p>Ruip\u00e9rez reveals that one of the data from Denaria's surveys is not only that <strong>more than 60% of people need cash<\/strong>, \u2018but that there are more than 70% of people who do not use cash, but want cash to exist\u2019. A situation that, in the interviewee's words, arises because \u2018they are demanding freedom\u2019. \u2018Because they want to be able to choose exactly the payment system they want.<\/p>\n<p>For the member of the specialised cash platform, \u2018when you spend in cash, all of that is guaranteed\u2019.\u2019 Cash is safe, cash is free, cash doesn't know exactly what you were counting on immediately\u2019. That's why, Rup\u00e9rez says, there is a desire to \u2018control everything\u2019, something that with cash they don't know exactly where you are, why you are paying, what you are paying for.<\/p>\n<h5>The United States against cash<\/h5>\n<p>Ruip\u00e9rez warns that the new US administration would like cash to disappear from the United States,<strong> \u2018precisely because they want to have practically absolute control\u2019<\/strong>.
